PIRATESandGEARS

13 years since I read the first Harry Potter book.  That nearly is half of my life.  That is longer, almost twice as long, than I have known my current two best friends.  It seems so much longer than that and yet so much shorter at the same time.  I knew I would be sad when this day came.  However I was not prepared for the sense of loss.  As if a part of myself has gone missing.  I feel like I have used the books, and then the movies, as an escape.  An escape from many things.  I have others of course.  Though none were with me for such a long time.  Through a time when I went from child, to teen, to adult.  Harry Potter has been my security

Well thanks to over sleeping and a late game night with the boyfriend and my friends, no drawing took place.  Tomorrow should be easier to get a drawing in, perhaps 2?  I will also be doing the majority of the rest of a BJD (ball jointed doll) for a friend over the next week and will post pictures of that when it is finished.  As payment for his BJD, which will be a character from the book he is writing, he is buying me a BJD of my own to make.  However, I am at a loss as to what I want to do. Or rather I have too many things I want to make as a BJD to decide which I want the most.  An anime character, movie character, pirate, ninja, mini me.

I once had a deviantart page, where it went I haven't a clue.  I went away plodding around the internet, working, hanging with friends, and being a lazy bum. Here I am, back again.  The time is right to start drawing, painting, and creating all other things I like and getting them out there into the world.  I plan to start with the new leather bound sketchbook my friend got me and to fill it with only portraits.  I will draw the first tomorrow and post it. For today I have a picture of some jalapeno and chili peppers that I pickled.  They have 3 weeks of waiting until I can open them.  Hopefully they will be as tasty as they look.  I'll take
